Peter Engelmann was an amazing person to work with: incredibly smart, the patience of a saint, and very well-respected among other agents. He would walk into a house and tell us within minutes “the truth” that no other agents would tell us. He was honest by pointing out the good and bad of each home we visited. That really set him apart. Peter was not interested in selling us a house quickly, he was interested in finding the right house for our needs. Once we found our dream home, Peter’s rapport with the other agent and negotiation skills set us apart from the other potential buyers and made it happen. On top of all this, after we moved in, Peter reached out to the moms in the area with young children, so I would feel welcome in the neighbor. He is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever encountered. A real gem!

As a long time Peapack Gladstone resident, Pete helped us determine the best way to go about selling our house. He knows lots of reputable contractors who helped us get our house ready and in perfect order. He helped on the buy end too as he knows the town and got to know our house so well. He could really speak to the benefits of the house and the town/area. Any concerns by the buyer–Pete was right on top of it–with advice and suggestions. This was a down-size move…leaving the home where we brought up our children…so it was emotional. Peter was very helpful and understanding all along the way. Pete helped us to sell our Town House and Condominium several years ago. In his professional way, he found buyers for both of these residences. He presented each one in a positive light with outstanding enthusiasm, description and eventually they both sold to appropriate buyers.
In 2012, we needed to sell our house in Bedminster in order to move to North Carolina. Pete found the resources for us to have a house sale, and to help us sort out the contents & belongings for a major down-sizing move. We moved to NC before the house was sold, and we left the business end of the sale in Pete’s capable hands. He found the buyers, and closed the deal 2 or 3 months after we moved. In the existing market, this was an enviable task, and all went smoothly. We are happy to say that the new owners are very pleased with the house. We have Pete Engelmann to thank for the smooth transition, which he made possible in a professional, efficient transaction.

Pete helped us sell an older home in Basking Ridge that had been in our family since 1956, and rented out for the past 13 years. Pete has a background in construction and was very knowledgable about the upgrades and issues that needed to be addressed. Since we had never sold a home before, he walked us through the process step by step, from listing to closing.
